There is something about the Alpine that makes me feel at home. The freedom of movement, the necessity of awareness, the sunsets and sunrises. All of which have made me feel welcome as I transition from my home in Arkansas to the mountains of Washington State. I have only been here a short while but have already managed to spend almost a month in the field. At times I feel alone and others, well, more free than I ever have before.
From me to you, I'd like to say, "Welcome to the Alpine".
